Recently I ordered some business cards for my new service:
http://homeimprovement.krazier.com and debated on whether I should go matte or glossy for the finish. I’ve never really cared for glossy except on postcards, glossy on business cards has always seemed “cheap” to me for some reason.

I’m trying to think back to all the cards I have purchased for myself and can’t think of a time where I chose to go with glossy, however this time was different. Yesterday I got my cards in the mail and have to say that they look really nice and I’m glad I decided to try something new.

What is your preference? Do you prefer Glossy or Matte on your business cards?

We recently launched an online directory for Innkeepers to list their Inns and Bed & Breakfasts on for FREE at GoInnStyle.com. The site currently has only a few listings, however we expect it to continually grow into a great resource for those looking for a great place to stay and also for Innkeepers to promote their inns.

Currently a basic listing is available for free, this includes a photo, inn name, location, phone/email information, description and map. If you have a Twitter account, you are able to add your username to your listing which will also show up in your inn’s profile.

If you are an Innkeeper we encourage you to check out the site and list your inn to help our site grow, if you are looking for a great place to stay, consider staying in a unique and friendly bed & breakfast.

Not long ago we launched our new service GetInnStyle.com, this service is dedicated to providing affordable websites to owners of Bed and Breakfasts. We have received quite a bit of traffic to our service but we really haven’t been actively promoting it outside of linking to it from the Krazier Design’swebsite. There were several reasons behind this but we are happy to announce that we have finished up the areas that we needed to finish (primarily the admin panel) and we are now ready to push full-steam ahead on promoting our services. Here are a few features we currently have for Inn Keepers once they login.

This interface includes things such as:

• An online “Design Brief” used to collect basic information as to what Inn Keepers are looking for in a website, from colors and layout to age demographics and specifically what pages are required for the site.
• An “Assets” page, used to collect files from the client such as their logo, photos and other marketing materials they may already have which could influence the direction of the design.
• We also provide a page specifically for collecting the content for each page of the website, our clients can login add the information about the Bed and Breakfast Features and submit it to us to be included into the live website. This is an easy way for the client to provide us with “copy” as they write it for inclusion into their site.
